So come, today we are sharing with you the recipe of traditional modak made on Ganesh Chaturthi. It is easy to make and you can also make it at home and offer it.
How to make modak at home for ganesh chaturthi-
Material
Rice flour ————————- 1 cup
Coconut (grated)———-1 cup
Jaggery———————————————- 1/2 cup
Ghee——————————————– 1 teaspoon
Cardamom powder————————— 1/2 teaspoon
Water————————————– 1 cup
A pinch of ——————————-salt
Method of Preparation:
Method to prepare the dough-First of all, we have to prepare the dough for modak. For this, heat some water in a pan and add a pinch of salt and ghee to it. When the water starts boiling, add one cup of rice flour slowly and keep mixing. Now turn off the gas flame and cover the dough and keep it for 10 minutes. It will cook in steam. When it cools down a bit, knead a soft dough.

Preparing the stuffing- Place a pan on the gas and add grated coconut and jaggery to it and turn the flame to medium. When it is cooked and mixed well, add cardamom powder to it and cook it till it thickens. Then turn off the gas and leave it to cool.
Make Modak like this- Now break small balls of dough and roll them in circular shape in the shape of puri. Now place the mixture of coconut and jaggery in the middle of the ball and fold it carefully to give it the shape of modak. When all of them are made, prepare them for steaming.
How to steam- Place all the modaks in the steamer for 10-15 minutes and let them cook. When the modaks are cooked, the color of the modak will appear slightly transparent. Take it out like this and when it cools down, offer it to Lord Ganesha as bhog. In this way, you can offer bhog to Lord Ganesha in a simple way.
